Rather nice restaurant inside Aveda, a sumptuous temple to "natural"
beauty, (this is also a good place to spot celebrities at lunch).
National Gallery Café
In central London the best places to sit down for a snack are in galleries
and museums. The Gallery Café has a good selection of sandwiches
and salads, and a selection of hot food available between 11.30 and
15.00. They also have some nice puddings such as lemon tart or apricot
cheesecake.
This is also a good location for afternoon tea.

As with the National Gallery above, these large public buildings have
free entry, so their cafes tend to be popular places to meet. Tate Britain
not only has some interesting temporary exhibitions, the basement café
serves excellent coffee and rather demo exness nice sandwiches. Not cheap, but convivial
and lively.

A new café in central London selling "proper fast food".
Their menu is very international and the food is very fast. Burgers,
Falafel, spring roll, noodles, nuggets, Plantain chips, Vietnamese

This is one of the best places to go to check out where rock celebrities
and Madness played their first gigs. Luckily for locals and rock fans
from outside London, The Dublin Castle still offers the chance to see
some interesting live punk, metal or rock acts.

it's worth going to see what's on. |

Nirvana once played here and Cooper Temple Clause played fairly recently
but The Bull and Gate is now mainly a new bands venue. Unusually,
they put three or four bands on per night on the basis that if they
all bring their mates then each band will play to a bigger crowd.
Slightly better known bands appear towards the end of the week. One
of London's best known showcase venues where anything from pop, rock,
ska and indie music is on offer.
